We’re making the huge move from Massachusetts to Weatherford. Since we’re uprooting and changing everything, I had to make a list of Fort Worth Pediatricians for my own family. Sharing the list with you will make it that much faster to find a fit for your family as well!
Being a momma to two boys under school age, I’m still going through the vaccination charts, keeping up on their height and weight growth, making sure they’re eating all the right things, staying steady on bedtimes and nap schedules, and being positive that they are as healthy as they can be. I want my kids to have the right start in life. Holistic choices that keep them well instead of just bringing them to a doctor when they’re sick is a focus for me. I want a doctor that will keep their health in mind 24/7 and not just when it matters most.
I’m very much of the mindset that we all know our own bodies better than anyone. I like a doctor that will listen to my children and then make an assessment. Medical care can’t be copy + paste for everyone. Having a doctor that creates a plan around my family is vitally important and builds trust for me.
This practice run by three women fosters a spirit of Southern hospitality. Dr. Featherston not only has huge career accomplishments with a list of Texas based educational achievements, she exemplifies a caring, compassionate woman in her personal life. Trips to Thailand elephant rescues, financially fostering orphaned African children and going on a mission to teach English to Cambodian children just scratches the surface on her character. Her support system, Susan Carrington and Monica Bildner, also show great personalities. Kindness is a large part of their office culture. Connect with Dr Featherston here.

Annie Burnett has a huge record of helping children in many big city hospitals. She now services families in the Frisco area. Her practice is cash only and provides office appointments plus in-home visits. Her style of personalized healthcare reminds me of the old days where a doctor would travel from home to home and care for their patients in their own environment. She’s vaccine friendly but also follows the lead of the family. See what Annie can offer here.

For me, it’s always about a doctor that will listen. I need someone to take what we’re saying and turn that into an action plan for health. Wellness checks are a big part of keeping our kids healthy on a day-to-day basis. This keeps them out of urgent care or the ER because we catch underlying problems early on and can treat them quicker.
Finding the right Fort Worth Pediatricians for my family is vitally important to our health and well being. I’m excited to pick one to trust for our two boys.
