Hey there, I’m Elizabeth!
I’m moving my family from Massachusetts all the way to Weatherford, just to be your Dallas Family Photographer!
We have lived in the Northeast for our entire lives. My husband and I were both born in Leominster, home of the plastic pink flamingo. Yes, you heard that right, the pink flamingo you can stick in your yard was made in our hometown, the City of Plastics! Our vocabulary consists of “wicked”, “pahk ya cah” and “kid”, plus we tend to miss our “R’s” quite frequently, or just add some in where they don’t belong. Apple and pumpkin picking surrounded by bright, colorful foliage was just a part of our growing up. Boston was a second home. We vacationed in the frigid waters of Maine. New Hampshire lakes were just a rite of summer passage. Vermont hills in the Fall made our jaws drop, no matter how many seasons we saw them over and over.
Bringing our family to Texas is an exciting step in our lives! We’re looking forward to a community feel where our two boys can grow up surrounded by friends and plenty of events to meet new people and experience new things. We’re anxious to meet new people, grow new roots and enhance the community we’re going to be a part of for many years to come.
As for me, myself and I, I love everything to do with a caffeinated drink, a good pile of yarn and knitting needles, watching my kids play and petting my dog. I’ve always been one to love being with my family, feeling warm and cozy, and creating something with my hands. That’s why photography was such a huge draw to me. It fascinates me that I can freeze one single second in time for the rest of eternity. I can create a backdrop that would only last for a short time, make a baby laugh, then keep that moment in pixels forever. After having kids of my own, I know just how fleeting the moments are with littles. I love being able to take my childrens’ photos and also use my skill to help others.
I’ve been behind a camera for as long as I can remember. Back in the film days, my mom would yell at me for taking pictures of spider webs in the backyard, making my stuffed animals pose and finding little rocks to stack. Film was precious! The excitement I’d get when a new envelope of 4×6 prints came in was worth it though. I’m very thankful that we have memory cards now because to this day I’m what’s known as an “overshooter”. I like to capture as much as I can as fast as I can!
I can’t wait for this opportunity to meet everyone in Weatherford and the DFW area! Starting a small business over again is a daunting and scary challenge, but it’s a huge opportunity for growth and new relationships. I’m so excited to become a Dallas Family Photographer.
If you’re in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I’d love to hear from you! Let’s connect! See more about me here.
Until next time, may your day be happy and your coffee be strong!
